Welcome to Ingólfsskáli Ingólfsskáli, Iceland’s viking restaurant, is a great place to enjoy a traditional viking dinner. Authentically designed in the style of the original turf-roofed longhouses the restaurant is an unusual and impressive reminder of Iceland’s past. Named in honour of Iceland’s first settler, Ingólfur Arnarson, Ingólfsskáli is located at the foot of Ingólfsfjall a scenically beautiful area amidst the mountains of southern Iceland. We cater for groups large and small and pride ourselves on the quality of our meals and our traditional Icelandic hospitality. We’re easy to reach — close to Road One, just 40 minutes’ drive from Reykjavík. Have a look at our sample menus then get in touch by email or phone to make a booking. We ask all guests to leave their swords, shields and helmets at the door!
